Redressing the balance in Uganda’s Emergency Care system; Consensus from the July meeting.

Uganda like many countries in the world is always experiencing events that pose an immediate risk to health, life, property and environment. As to whether a country’s systems are efficient to respond to emergencies, the World Health Organization (WHO) developed a tool (The WHO Emergency Care System Assessment) to assess, identify gaps and develop consensus around action priorities from a wide range of experts.The assessment for Uganda’s emergency care system identified several gaps in emergency care and other structural challenges. Consensus was built on best priorities to mitigate these challenges
